Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Voltrine, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the service. Continued use of Voltrine after changes to these terms constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use Voltrine. If you are between 16 and 18 years old, you must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these age requirements.

Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it.

• One account per person — creating multiple accounts is prohibited
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
• Account sharing or transferring your account to another person is not allowed

Game Rules & Fair Play

Voltrine is a competitive strategy game. All players are expected to play fairly and respect the integrity of the game.

• No cheating — any form of manipulation to gain an unfair advantage is prohibited
• No exploiting bugs — if you discover a bug, report it instead of abusing it
• No third-party tools — bots, automation scripts, or external assistance programs are forbidden
• No collusion — cooperating with another player to manipulate match outcomes is prohibited
• No match-fixing — intentionally losing or arranging outcomes undermines fair competition
• No intentional disconnects — deliberately disconnecting to avoid a loss is considered abandonment

Ranked Play & ELO Sanctions

Ranked matches use an ELO rating system. The following sanctions apply to maintain competitive integrity:

• Abandoning a ranked game results in an ELO penalty and the match is counted as a loss
• Proven ELO manipulation (win-trading, boosting) results in a full ELO reset for the season
• Repeat offenders face temporary or permanent bans from ranked play
• Collusion in ranked matches leads to season disqualification and removal from leaderboards

Seasons & Content

Seasons are time-limited competitive periods with their own leaderboards and rewards. Voltrine is free to play. Some cosmetic content may be available for purchase. Future seasons or content packs may require a purchase. Virtual items obtained in-game have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.

User Conduct

All players must maintain respectful behavior at all times.

• No harassment — bullying, threats, or targeted abuse of other players is prohibited
• No offensive nicknames or avatars — inappropriate or vulgar content will be removed
• No hate speech — discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, or any other characteristic is strictly forbidden
• No impersonation — pretending to be another player, moderator, or staff member is prohibited

We reserve the right to rename, remove, or modify any user-generated content (including nicknames and avatars) that violates these guidelines, without prior notice.

Intellectual Property

All game assets, including but not limited to artwork, card designs, game mechanics, logos, music, and code, are the exclusive property of Voltrine. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Voltrine content without explicit written permission. By using the service, you grant Voltrine a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use any user-generated content (such as nicknames and uploaded avatars) for the purpose of operating the game.

Purchases & Virtual Items

Voltrine may offer cosmetic items or content for purchase. The following conditions apply:

• All purchases of virtual items are final — cosmetic purchases are non-refundable except as required by applicable EU consumer protection law
• Real-money trading of virtual items between players is prohibited
• Virtual currency and items have no real-world cash value
• Refund requests are handled in accordance with EU consumer rights regulations — you may be entitled to a refund within 14 days of purchase if the digital content has not been accessed

Account Suspension & Termination

We take violations of these terms seriously and reserve the right to take action to protect the community.

• We may suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Service, with or without prior warning
• You may delete your account at any time through your account settings — all associated data will be permanently removed
• Upon termination, you lose access to your account, game history, rankings, and any purchased virtual items

Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers

Voltrine is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We are not liable for any data loss, ranking discrepancies, or service interruptions beyond what is required by applicable EU law. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you have paid for purchases in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Changes to Terms & Contact

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via an in-game notice or email. Continued use of Voltrine after such notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union.
