How we use cookies and local storage
This page explains how Voltrine uses cookies and similar technologies. We believe in transparency and want you to understand exactly what is stored in your browser when you use our service.
Voltrine does not use HTTP cookies of any kind. We do not use cookies for tracking, advertising, analytics, or any other purpose.
Instead of cookies, Voltrine uses your browser's localStorage — a simple key-value storage mechanism — to store two items that are strictly necessary for the application to function:
| Key | token |
|---|---|
| Purpose | Keeps you logged in between page refreshes so you don't have to re-enter your credentials every time. |
| Duration | Stored until you log out or clear your browser data. |
| Key | accountId |
|---|---|
| Purpose | Identifies your account session so the game can load your data, statistics, and game state. |
| Duration | Stored until you log out or clear your browser data. |
Under the ePrivacy Directive (and GDPR), strictly necessary storage is exempt from the consent requirement. Since both items stored in localStorage are essential for authentication and cannot be replaced by alternative means, no consent banner is required.
Voltrine loads fonts from Google Fonts. Google may set its own cookies when serving font files. Please refer to Google's privacy policy for details on their data practices.
You can clear all localStorage data at any time through your browser settings. Note that doing so will log you out and you will need to sign in again.
